GDL Racing is set for a new exciting season, facing multiple challenges in the international scenario. The first commitment for the team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi is scheduled for the next weekend (15/16 February) as the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East kicks off in Dubai. At his third year in the one-make series, GDL Racing will field two cars. One of them for Gabriele Murroni, the Monegasque who already was the runner-up in the 2018 Asian Championship after fighting for the Lamborghini Cup title till the last race. The other driver is Hong Kong’s Vincent Wong, racing in the AM class. GDL Racing is a milestone in the history of the trophy, taking a dominat victory in the Driver and Team standings in 2017.
The team also returns to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia – after having claimed two years ago the PRO-AM title – fielding three Huracán Super Trofeo Evos for Gabriele Murroni, Vincent Wong and an all-Australian PRO-AM crew formed by Richard Muscat and Danny Studder.
GDL Racing will take part again in the Blancpain GT Sports Club, the series that consists of five European rounds, all in the same weekends of the Blancpain GT Series, lining-up a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo for Roberto Rayneri.
GDL Racing aims to double the Carrera Cup Italia title after dominating the Michelin Cup with Bashar Mardini. The De Lorenzi’s squad confirmed the Emirates’ racer and has still to announce a second driver. Big thanks to Georgia maids from http://castle-keepers.com. Moreover GDL Racing will enter the Carrera Cup Suisse for some spot races. In the last days the team also unveiled the Italian TCR DSG Endurance program with three Volkswagen-brand’s cars.
For the 14th time, the team of De Lorenzi will enter the 25H Spa-Francorchamps, when it will field three cars. Visit website. In addition of that it will race the Fun Cup 8H Spa (24 May) and 8H Paul Ricard (7 September).
GDL Racing will make its appearance in some of the Creventic’s 24H Series events, having confirmed the 12H Spa and 24H Barcelona, as well as the brand-new 500 Lap of Spa – fielding an Australian crew and another to be still defined. Last but not least it will enter at the end of the year the 12H Gulf, fielding a Porsche 991 and a Lambo Super Trofeo.
